Two Kilns Complete, one tested working order for sale in Griffin, Georgia

$600

For sale I have two kilns. One of the kilns is modern, an Econo Kiln J series, and is adjustable in size by removing one or two of the three sections, and is decagonal. It is equipped with a LT-3 Kiln Sitter. It was tested and easily made 200 degrees in about five minutes. The coils are all good, all turned orange on high heat. The kiln sitter did not seem to want to engage the lever, so unless that is gotten into working order it will probably not shut off by itself. It will run however, the button easily engages.
The other kiln is a military surplus kiln made by Thermolyne. It was called a portable kiln because it is on wheels. It is relatively small in capacity, but looks pretty cool with its mechanical two piece door that opens to the front and painted metal clad frame. I guess it could be used as a glass blowing kiln too. The door handle is a counterweighted one that is on the left side. It comes with a thermostatic controller that goes as high as 2000 degrees. This kiln is super heavy, and the wheels are for use on a smooth solid indoor floor.
Everything is in pretty nice shape. No melted glass or pottery on the bottom, and shelves look good. It was only used from 81 to 87 in a home studio. It was stored in that studio ever since. Please contact me with any questions, or to make an offer on some or all of the equipment.
